You need to do a fresh install or use a different directory. CAUTION: Upgrades of old setups using the new repository are not supported. This also includes a 32-bit version, which OSGeo4W v2 does not support. The long term release is additionally also available in the old repository using the same dependencies as before (see below). The latest QGIS release is only available here, as it already requires dependencies not available in the old repository. NOTE FOR EXISTING USERS: OSGeo4W v2 (previously known as testing) is now the regular repository. To avoid those you have to use the Advanced Install and choose qgis and/or qgis-ltr in the desktop section. The express installations have several optional packages including non-free software. In the installer choose Express Install and select QGIS to install the latest release or QGIS LTR to install the long term release.

The archive contains shared libraries of OTB dependencies (binary versions) and helper scripts for the configuration and the compilation of the library.QGIS in OSGeo4W (recommended for regular users): OTB binaries can also be used as a development kit for OTB which allows to easily compile the library and facilitate the creation of programs based on OTB. Assuming that QGIS is installed in the PATH, you can start QGIS by typing qgis at a command prompt or by double clicking on the QGIS application link (or shortcut) on the desktop or in the Applications menu. We will repeat this here, and you will see that QGIS also provides further command line options.
